Volunteers Become a Volunteer! There are many opportunities to contribute to running our recreation programs and events.  We welcome new volunteers to help make our events successful. We depend on the help of our volunteers who: Facilitate our sports and recreation programs Plan and help run our community events Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities Participate of the CCA Executive Board - more info at this link Please join in, have some fun and help in our community!  Contact us to volunteer at our next event: 613-831-4474. Volunteers are currently needed in the following areas: Executive Board Meetings take place monthly at the Community Centre - usually on the first Tuesday of every month from 7:30 - 9pm. We are looking for the following: Vice President Secretary Newsletter Editor Rink Manager Please contace Elaine Menard (613 831 3910) if you would like more information on any of these positions, or if you would like to find out how you can help out at the community centre in a smaller capacity than taking on a board position. Skating Rink Maintenance Our outdoor rink operator for the last two years has decided that he can no longer build the rink by himself. Therefore we are looking for 8-10 volunteers to help build the rink. This involves some shoveling and flooding between the 9pm to 11pm most weeknights with each volunteer putting in 2 to 4 hours per week.  Without more volunteers to build the rink there will not be a rink this year!  Rink Supervisors The Corkery Outdoor rink is currently looking for mature, reliable, students 16 years or older to help supervise the out door rink this winter.  This involves opening the building and keeping it clean and orderly for skaters on weeknights and on weekends and providing statistics on the rink usage. This is a volunteer position but an honorarium will be paid. Soccer Coaching and Volunteers All of the soccer programs run with volunteers. The WCSC runs coaching clinics and coaches and sponsors volunteers who take clinics and or coaches through other clubs. More information about these clinics can be found on the WCSC website. THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE STEPPED FORWARD TO COACH SOCCER FOR THE 2009 SEASON. WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RUN SUCH A GREAT PROGRAM WITHOUT VOLUNTEERS.
